Gettysburg Camp 112 is located in historic Gettysburg Pennsylvania, and meets in the Corporal Jack Skelly GAR Post #9 in town. Gettysburg Camp 112 is the local chapter of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW) which is a Congressionally recognized 501(c)3 fraternal organization dedicated to keeping and honoring the history and legacy of the veterans who fought to save the Union during the American Civil War.
Gettysburg Camp 112's mission to honor local Civil War Veterans during our Memorial Day, and Remembrance Day observances. The Camp has participated in numerous grave restoration and cleanup efforts. Camp 112 also participates in the planning of the Memorial Day Parade in Gettysburg as one of the key founders.
Gettysburg Camp 112 implements the SUVCW's patriotic education program which includes teaching patriotism and the duties of citizenship, the true history of our country, and the love and respect for our Flag. Each year, the Order conducts presentations to schools and communities. The SUVCW encourages the proper teaching of American history in our schools. It keeps the public informed of activities and measures that violate or may weaken the spirit and purposes of our country's Constitution and institutions. It promotes and broadly sustains the American principles of representative government, of equal rights and impartial justice for all.
In addition, the Camp also:
Administers the SUVCW Cadet Award to deserving JROTC, ROTC, Civil Air Patrol, and Young Marines Cadets.
Administers the Eagle Scout Recognition Program.
Administers the Gettysburg area National Graves Program.
Provide Civil War era educational opportunities to the community.

The order was founded on the principles of Fraternity, Charity, and Loyalty as these traits were exemplified by our patriotic ancestors. It is our duty to continue the good work of the boys in Blue.
